Well, today was a hard one – primarily due to headwinds and heat and climbing. Other than that, it was great.
At any rate, all is nearly forgotten now while enjoying the hospitality of Russ and Karen at the Montana High Country Lodge near Polaris, MT. It’s a quiet, idyllic setting after a long day fighting the wind and the mountains.
Body, bike and attitude good although I have been seriously contemplating “Plan B,” an extraction back to Texas.
I haven’t made up my mind yet, just trying to figure out options. This ride is funny like that … you can’t just quit. You can say “I quit,” and then the Divide says “Fine. Keep riding 8 more days till you get somewhere you can quit!” Most of the time, it’s easier to just keep riding.
